General Function: Create daily dispatches in office for days ships are in port, and have a friendly presence out on the docks to direct passengers and buses.

Compensation:

Job Requirements:

  • Pre-employment substance screening & background check required

  • Class B CDL or tourism experience preferred, but not required

  • Clean driving record

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Competent computer skills (Must have experience in Excel)

  • Organized and good at multi tasking

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Great multi-tasking skills

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  2. General knowledge of the position:

    • This is a high activity job that requires a knack for multi-tasking and ability not to get frazzled in high stress situations. You must be able to communicate clearly with staff, ship representatives, and vendor partners at all times

    • Create daily ship dispatches that efficiently map out tours, ensuring buses depart and arrive at accurate times

    • Gain understanding of pertinent Federal and State DOT regulations and integrate routine compliance into all aspects of delivering quality tours. Complete all related paperwork in a professional, accurate, consistent and timely manner.

    • Communicate daily with arriving cruise ships to relay tour information, such as timing, passenger counts and tour itinerary

    • Work closely with tour and operations manager to establish proper logistics and itinerary for all tours

    • Act as a leader in communications between Alaska Coach Tours and cruise ships, as you will be the main liaison between the two entities
