Your coach journey takes you up 3,290 feet above sea level to the infamous White Pass Summit, which runs parallel to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. Along the way, your driver/guide will share stories of hardships and daily life struggles the stampeders faced. While following in the footsteps of early gold seekers, you will see the historical areas of Brackett Wagon Road, Pitch Fork Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented Valley.
Stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge at Tutshi Canyon, where within a few steps you will be inspired by the beauty of this remarkable landscape. View three-dimensional interpretive displays detailing the history of the area, watch for wildlife while sitting on the deck and let the exhilarating experience of crossing the suspension bridge, 57 feet above a class four and five river, take your breath away.
On your return trip back into Skagway you will make a visit to the Klondike Gold Dredge. Meet a cast of costumed characters for fun and a chance to find your fortune! Learn the art of gold panning and practice your technique in warm-water troughs. Gold is guaranteed in every pan! Haul your treasure into The Gold Shack, have it weighed and, if you choose, transferred into a souvenir bezel. Your tour ends in Skagway where your Driver Guide can drop you in town or take you back to the pier.
